Just So You Know

I figure you all must be wondering how I'm snapping these pics as I drive. No, I'm not another Idiot Driver (nomore than your average person, anyway) but I have my old cellphone jerry-rigged to my dashboard and it's permanently set to camera. So it's just one click on my prestiked hands-free cellphone camera and here you are, in technicolour, on my blog.

Okay, so I don't think this guy is generally an Idiot Driver, but he made a common mistake and one of my personal pet-hates on the roads yeterday evening.

So, there are two or more lanes on the road you're driving along ... and there's an on-ramp up ahead. Don't be a considerate driver and move into the empty right hand lane so as not to hinder the arriving cars, but rather stay in the left lane and cause them to come to an almost complete stop at the end of their on-ramp while you coast past oblivious.

It's so annoying and it happens more often than not at the Empire Road on-ramp to the M1 South. Yesterday evening this guy did it to me between 6 & 6:30 at another M1 on-ramp. In his defense, he did wave sorry as I pulled in behind him. So, not a complete Idiot Driver.
